The following three beauties were, literally, thrown away as two-week-old kittens; a kind soul found them in a dumpster, and took them to one of our local cat-rescue groups. They were bottle-fed by volunteers, and then introduced to a homeless female cat who had been spayed late in pregnancy and was showing signs of depression.

This is Sophie.

This is Daisy.

This is Bella.

And this is Maggie. (Yes, she looks a lot like Isabel!) Maggie happily nurtured the kittens while volunteers continued to feed them, until they were weaned and able to eat solid food. Then all four came to live with me.

My resident cats accepted the newcomers quickly, as you can see here. Renny, sharing a meal with Bella and Sophie.
